Broke Inlet on 10X8” Pinhole
Dec 25th, 2024 • Rae Starr
The potential for this image of light on Claire Beach at Broke Inlet has sat in my head for years, but either the water was too low or too high or the light was wrong. But on the morning of 26th November 2024 everything came together.

The icing on the cake was that we had the 10x8” Wide Angle Woodie and ViStKamera multi-pinhole with us, in addition to my battered and sea-soaked Zero 5x4” pinhole camera, so I worked in 5x4” and 10x8”, using Foma 100 in each.

In gratitude to the owners for letting us use Claire House as our base. Broke inlet is a very quiet and welcome relief from the noise and bustle of Quinninup.
