Heart's Desire Entwines, by Rae Starr, is her most ambitious cyanotype to date.  The photographs show the development of the work from the exposure of the first photogram on hessian to the work being put together in the kitchen to details of the work in the gallery as part of The Alternative Archive.  The Alternative Archive is a series of fourteen local exhibitions bringing together contemporary artists in rural Western Australia. The Alternative Archive will culminate in a major show in Perth

The photogram materials are all locally sourced native plant materials, Zamia, Tassel Plant, Banksia Grandis.
